Weeklong: Outreach events at local schools

  • UF students affiliated with the North Central Florida Chapter of the Society of Neuroscience will travel to elementary, middle and high schools in Gainesville to teach about neuroscience by performing fun “brain tricks” and other activities.

“Through our local educational outreach events, we hope to pique people’s interest and spark conversations on neuroscience and neuroscience research. Last year, we reached over 2,200 students in 16 schools in Alachua County. This year, we hope to reach out to even more students and facilitate dialogues on the importance and influence of brain research on our everyday lives.”
