Jay Clugston, M.D., received the 2018 SEC Team Physician of the Year award from the Southern Orthopaedic Association during May’s SEC Baseball Tournament.
Clugston is the UF Athletic Association team physician, director of the UF Student Health Care Center Sports Concussion Center and an MBI member. He also holds a joint appointment as a clinical associate professor of neurology.
He has served as team physician for 15 years and in his role at the SHCC Sports Concussion Center he provides clinical care to UF students and performs concussion research.
As a result of Clugston’s award, the UF athletic training staff will receive a $1,000 check from DJO Global to be used for student athletic trainer education.
