Research shows genetic link between psychiatric disorders

Mathews 1Carol Mathews, M.D., director of the Center for OCD, Anxiety & Related Disorders, and other UF researchers — including Michael Okun, M.D., chair of neurology, and Irene Malaty, M.D., associate professor of neurology — contributed to a recently published study in the journal Science that broadly examined the genetic relationships between many different psychiatric and neurological disorders.
